Product Introduction

Description

CD Insulaton Weld Pins are special fastening elements. They are mainly used for joining different materials or components together by welding, while their insulating properties prevent current leakage or short-circuiting.

For example, in the case assembly of some electronic devices, where it may be necessary to connect metal parts to circuit boards with electronic components, CD Insulaton Weld Pins provide a reliable connection and ensure that the electronic components are not subject to electromagnetic interference or accidental damage due to electrical conductivity.

Structural features

  • Welding section: usually with a special welding head at one end. This weld head can instantly generate high temperatures under the action of capacitive discharge welding equipment, causing the weld pin to form a strong metallurgical bond with the surface of the material to be connected. In automotive manufacturing, for example, the welding head of the welding pin can be well integrated with the metal frame of the car body.
  • Insulating part: The main part of the weld pin is usually covered with an insulating material. This insulating material can be ceramics, high-performance plastics, and so on. The thickness and quality of the insulating layer are directly related to the insulating properties of the welding pin. In the case of an electrical control cabinet installation, for example, the insulation prevents the weld pin from short-circuiting with the surrounding electrical wiring during the connection process.

Principle of operation
Based on the capacitive discharge principle. The capacitor discharge welding equipment first charges the capacitor and when the set voltage is reached, the stored electrical energy of the capacitor is released through the welding head within a short period of time. This process generates an extremely high current density, which causes the material at the welding head to melt instantly, thus forming a weld to the surface of the connected part. The insulating part maintains its insulating properties during the process, ensuring the safety and stability of the welding process.
